About Rachael Fionda

I am from Middlesbrough and now live in Dublin, with Italy, Germany and Austria as stops on the way (I was either a teacher or a lecturer in those places – always connected to Applied Linguistics somehow).  I came to Dublin because I was fortunate enough to be offered a wonderful PhD project with an inspirational supervisor.  And I have stayed.

I love education, linguistics, and outdoorsy stuff.

My areas of specialisation are: SLA, CPD, LA and Motivation, curriculum/syllabus development, online-learning, leadership and management, and critical pedagogy. I have also spoken at various conferences and written a few magazine articles within the field, as well as contributing to two books, see the first here and the second here.
